Pricing, Time and why…..

Due to the Detail in all my work and due to the # of large pieces (Sleeves/Full Backs/legs) I am doing, and prefer to do, I book by the day not by the hour, this allows me to be relaxed while I work.
DAY RATE is 8 hours @ $100/hour DUE AT THE BEGINNING OF EACH SESSION!. I take CASH ONLY ..GST is included. Please DON’T ASK!! me to quote you a FINAL PRICE OR HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE!!…thank you…
I often give extra hours for free on larger pieces based on my own assessment of my performance and other factors…..so essentially I cap most multi-session pieces so they remain competitively priced with artist of my style and caliber…I will judge this separately for EACH PIECE.
Overtime price 8hr+ is $150/hr for those who are under time constraints or have to travel, and want to limit the amount of trips they will have to make…If you are an out of town client and I cannot finish your piece to my standards in the time booked..I sympathetically assume no responsibility for your travel time to come back and finish.
Again..Please DON’T ASK!! me to quote you a FINAL PRICE OR HOW LONG IT WILL TAKE!!.. There are too many variables to be accurate. If you have a budget then tell me up front and I will size the piece down, simplify it, or decline the project.
The more realistic or detailed, the more time it will take, and thus more money! Note that due to the discipline of most of my tattoos, (Minimal-outlined/ realism) my art takes much more care and control than the majority of other tattoo styles
It is FAR easier to make a fat outline (typical tattoos) and then color in between those lines, so please don’t try and compare the cost or time of one of my pieces to tattoos done in that style.
It is very hurtful to me when people say “well my friend got so and so done and it was only this much money or took only 2 hours” its not a fair comparison, and its not a race. So the bottom line is; get art by the artist you like most! You wont miss the money in 2 years but you WILL be stuck with that tattoo so you better love the artists work!
I layer my ink in multiple soft passes so one of the major benefits of getting tattooed by me is that it is far far less painful!! than the fast pound it in approach….So chill out, watch a movie and enjoy the process!
DEPOSIT-Prior to booking and design, I require a non-refundable $400 deposit. This will go towards the last session of your tattoo or in the case of one session pieces, towards that day’s price I require a full 48 hours notice for any changes to your appointment or you WILL lose your deposit! (NO exceptions) You may reschedule 3 times/Days in total then you WILL lose your deposit and you may be asked to pre-pay all future days. If you change your contact info please inform me! Clients I cant reach after several attempts will..you guessed it!
…remember I don’t get paid unless I am tattooing unlike most jobs. Please understand that I hate taking your money without giving you tattoo time, but I am a one person business.
